What is a subnet mean when it comes to IP ranges?

Answer: An IP subnet is determined by the first 3 number in an IP address, meaning the IP 12.14.15.100 is part of the IP subnet 12.14.15.XXX. All the addresses in that range 12.14.15.0 to 12.14.15.255 are part of the same subnet. Also using proxies from different ranges, in other words, more subnets, gives you more IP diversity as many sites often block the whole subnet range and not just the IP address.
